How does peer-to-peer video conferencing work?
Through our peer-to-peer video conferencing, media (that is, video, audio, chat, images and whiteboard drawings) is exchanged through direct communication between participants. This exchange occurs without mediation by any external party.
Where the media needs to be routed through a symmetric NAT (Network Address Translation) or an enterprise-grade firewall, and in order to ensure connectivity, we use a TURN (Traversal Using Relay NAT) server to blindly relay the encrypted media. This server cannot decrypt or manipulate the media.
